Governor Edwards is still trying to keep his campaign promise to reduce the gender pay gap in the state. So far his efforts have been defeated by pro-business groups and the legislature. Brooke Thorington has more.

The NOLA No Call lawsuit pitting New Orleans attorney and Saints fan Antonio LeMon against the NFL will not move forward after being dismissed by the Louisiana Supreme Court. LeMon called the ruling disappointing. The NFL has declined to comment.
State Police say an 87-year-old Winnsboro man riding a lawnmower on the road was killed when he was hit by a pick-up truck. Master Trooper Michael Reichardt says routine toxicology samples were obtained and will be submitted for analysis and the crash remains under investigation
87-year-old Elmer Jennings was identified as the victim. Authorities later discovered the lawnmower was a zero-turn vehicle.
LSU hosts Northwestern State this Saturday. Orgeron says two starters on the D-Line are not expected to play because of injuries, Glen Logan and Rashard Lawrence. Coach O says that will give other guys a chance to play
