The sixth ranked LSU Tigers are expected to show off a new offense on Saturday night when they kick off the 2019 season by hosting Georgia Southern. The Bayou Bengals have installed a spread offense during the offseason and quarterback Joe Burrow says they’l spread the ball around to a variety of wide receivers and some passes are expected to go to the running backs too.
Louisiana Tech is at 10th ranked Texas. The Bulldogs were one of the better teams last season when it came to defending the pass and they’ll face a quarterback in Austin by the name Sam Ehlinger, who averaged 258 yards through the air.
Also on Saturday, the Ragin Cajuns face Mississippi State in the Superdome for an 11 AM kick-off. Tickets sales for this contest are reportedly not doing well.
