Louisiana will see one to three inches of rain starting today and running through the weekend as a tropical wave passes through the state. State Climatologist Barry Keim says the threat of severe weather is minimal and even less than minimal the further north you go, but we certainly will see a good number of showers.

American Idol is back in the Bayou State one season after Laine Hardy of Livingston became the first Louisianan to win the competition.
