There are a lot of Mardi Gras Krewes in Louisiana getting nervous as most of their custom throws have not arrived yet and Fat Tuesday is just around the corner. There was an ongoing labor dispute at a Los Angeles port which held up thousands of signature Mardi Gras products, but Beads By the Dozen President Dan Kelly says tensions have calmed…:

And in Washington…the republican led US Senate approved legislation this afternoon that authorizes construction of the Keystone Pipeline, which would transport oil from Canada to the Gulf Coast. It passed on a 62-36 vote, but that’s five votes short of overriding a likely Presidential veto from Barack Obama.
