The State Fire Marshal’s Office has determined that yesterday’s fire in Calhoun, where two bodies were recovered, was a murder suicide. The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s office has released an update in the case of the double homicide which occurred this week in Donaldsonville. They say heroin was found inside of the home of one of the murder victims and they believe the shootings occurred as the result of a drug deal gone bad. Authorities are still looking for suspects who escaped in a white BMw 3 series and stolen white Dodge Magnum.
