The Saints play their first preseason game tonight against the Vikings. The spotlight is on backup QB Teddy Bridgewater, who’s expect to get a lot of snaps, and Locked on Saints podcast host Ross Jackson says its Teddy’s time to shine.

They have also shook up the backfield going into tonight’s game against the Vikings. They signed running back Kerwynn Williams and cut running back Matthew Dayes with an injury designation. Dayes had missed practice the last few days Williams has been with several teams during his career. The latest was Tampa Bay last year.
In the NFL Baker Mayfield of the Cleveland Browns threw a touchdown pass to end his only series. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Never put on his helmet and the Browns gave a brief preview of their offensive firepower during a 30-10 drubbing over the Washington redskins last night. The patriots beat the Lions 31-3, The Ravens over the Jaguars 28-0, Buffalo smacked the colts 24-16.
Major League Baseball announced it is going to play a professional game in Iowa…at the same field the movie Field of Dreams was filmed at. The Chicago White sox will take on the New York Yankees next August. A temporary 8,000 seat stadium will be built on the site to accommodate the first major league baseball game ever played in iowa.
