The 24-year-old woman arrested by Alexandria Police as the suspect in the murder of her 5-year-old daughter is has been declared clinically deceased. The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office says Jasmine Anderson attempted suicide by hanging on Saturday, only moments after a cell check by guards.  The attempt came two days after her arrest.  Medics were able to revive her and placed into ICU.  Anderson was declared clinically deceased as of Saturday afternoon and placed on life support for organ procurement purposes.

Super ATV’s new manufacturing and distribution center in Shreveport is open. It will employ 75 workers. The Indiana based company specialiizes in aftermarket parts for ATVs and UTVs. North Louisiana Economic Partnership President Scott Martinez says Super ATV expects to generate the highest sales volume from Shreveport for its axles, portal gear lifts, mud tires and lift kits
