The Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office says two people died in a boating accident on the Cutoff near Sterlington. Deputies say three individuals were fishing in an aluminum boat near Bayou Drive when it capsized. One individual swam to the bank, but the other two individuals were not able to make it to safety.
