The National Hurricane Center says there is a high probability that a tropical depression will form by the end of the week over the northern Gulf of Mexico. The system has the potential to produce heavy rainfall along portions of the northern and eastern U-S Gulf Coast later this week.

This year’s budget calls for the state to use 25-million dollars in unclaimed property to help pay for general operating expenses.
