Legendary New Orleans music producer Dave Bartholomew, the man who found Fats Domino, passed away yesterday at 100 years old. Louisiana Music Hall of Fame Executive Director Mike Shepard says Bartholomew was the last of the “Holy Trinity” that put New Orleans music on the international music map along with Fats, and J&M studio owner and recording engineer icon Cosimo Matasa.

Bartholomew is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

A Slidell man’s fiancé allegedly shoots up a truck stop after her betrothed gets fired from her job as a truck driver. Slidell Police spokesperson Daniel Seuzeneau says 32-year-old Natalie Williams of Mandeville was with her fiancé when his boss showed up and terminated him from the job for alleged poor performance on the job.
