Griffin came into the night with the 1st and 4th pick, but traded the fourth and Solomon Hill’s burdensome contract to Atlanta for the 8th and 17th.

The Pelicans’ head honcho also used the moment to reaffirm his commitment to at times embattled coach Alvin Gentry. He says Gentry and Williamson forged a special bond over their shared upbringing in the Carolinas…

A recent poll making the rounds in the media shows support for President Trump in Louisiana is not what is used to be. But U-L Lafayette Political Science Professor Pearson Cross questions the validity of the survey. Another shock in the poll was the data that Louisianans oppose the President’s border wall plan 49 percent to 41 percent. Cross says sometimes you have to take poll results with a grain of salt.

The summer is upon us and those temps are not just brutal on humans, but animals as well.  Louisiana Humane Society Director Jeff Dorson says with the mercury rising, so do the phone calls about pets being tied up in the heat.
