A Mississippi man leads Slidell police on a high-speed chase across state lines after stealing power-tools from a Walmart. Matt Doyle has more.

Donald “Doc” Hines a physician who led the Louisiana Senate as president from 2004-2008 died Tuesday after a long illness. Hines was 85. The Democrat from Bunkie served in the Senate from 1993 to 2008. He was described as a country doctor of the old school.
