Claudia Rodas, with the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, says employees in bars and casinos should be able to work in a smoke-free environment, like people who work in the restaurant industry. The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Department has arrested an 18-year-old man, accused of shooting a teenager during an argument. Authorities say Allen Williams III of Donaldsonville and three other males were arguing about stolen property when Williams opened fire. A bullet struck a 16-year-old in the cheek area. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Williams is charged with three counts of attempted second degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.
