Some huge names will be inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday. Super Bowl winning quarterback Peyton Manning, former LSU football Coach Les Miles and longtime Peabody basketball coach Charles Smith are among the 11 who will be enshrined. Former La Tech quarterback Matt Dunigan is also going into the Louisiana Sports Hall of fame. Sources say LSU wide receiver Jonathan Giles has put his name into the NCAA Transfer portal. Giles was expected to have a big season last year, but only caught 10 passes.
Former Saints running back Reggie Bush and the team’s all-time leading receiver Marques Colston will be inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in October. Colston was a dependable pass catcher for Drew Brees.
Bush’s best game in a Saints uniform may have been in the Divisional playoff victory over the Arizona Cardinals during the Super Bowl season.
