A woman in Opelousas is in big trouble after authorities believe she burned her child with cigarettes. The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s office says 26-year-old Jessica Deville is charged with cruelty to a juvenile. Lt. Clay Higgins says authorities spoke with the father and the child:

The child is recovering and living with his father.

State Police is investigating a tragic accident out of St. Francisville which claimed the life of a 73-year-old man Wednesday afternoon. Trooper Jared Sandifer says Felix Lipoma of Gonzales was pulling out of a private drive onto LA 61 as an 18-wheeler was approaching…:
