The Saints have reportedly added former Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland to their front office. Based on reports, Ireland will handle college scouting. There’s also been an addition to the coaching staff, based on media reports. Dennis Allen will serve as an assistant on defense, working with defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. Allen was with the Saints from 2006 to 2010. He left to become the Broncos defensive coordinator and served as a head coach for the Raiders in 2011.

And one other Black and Gold note, running back Mark Ingram has been added to the Pro Bowl roster. Ingram takes the place of Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch.

LSU says 53 of the 56 regular season baseball games can viewed on either SEC Network-plus, which is on the internet, or on ESPN’s family of TV channels. That includes ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN-U and the SEC Network. Seven games are also set to appear on C-S-T.

ULM is in first place in the Sun Belt with a 6-and-1 record. The Warhawks defeated the Ragin Cajuns last night for their sixth straight victory. U-L-M will host Texas Arlington tomorrow night and then Georgia Southern on Saturday.

The Pelicans are back home tomorrow night after a two-and-three road trip. They host the Lakers and Anthony Davis is listed as probable to play after missing the last two games with a sprained toe.
