State Police say they believe a medical condition may have caused a 78-year-old woman to crash in Washington Parish. Violet Jones of Franklinton died as a result of her injuries. Investigators say Jones possibly experienced a medical emergency while driving. Her vehicle traveled off the road down an embankment and came to rest in a ditch. Jones was pronounced dead on the scene.
Jennings Police say a 66-year-old man is behind bars accused of raping three girls ages 6,7 and 9. Deputy Chief Danny Semmes (Sims) says Clarence Bouley (Boo-Ley) allegedly assaulted the young girls in his home while his daughter was babysitting them. He says Bouley was booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail on three counts of aggravated rape…:

Semmes says, during questioning, Bouley confessed to the crimes.
Former New Orleans Saint Steve Gleason will be Senator David Vitter’s special guest tonight at President Obama’s State of the Union Address. Gleason has ALS and works with his Team Gleason organization to empower others living with the disease. Vitter says he’s honored to have Gleason attend, calling him an inspiring leader in the fight against ALS.
