Governor John Bel Edwards and Republican Gubernatorial Candidate and Congressman Ralph Abraham squared off at a forum hosted by the Public Affairs Research Council. Edwards told the crowd that voters know the state is better off today than it was when he took office in 2016.

Suspended basketball coach Will Wade will meet with LSU today for the first time since an alleged FBI wirtetap was published that reportedly had Wade discussing a strong offer made to a recruit. Tons of frozen fish were scattered along the highway after a crash early this morning on Interstate 10 on the Bonnet Carre Spillway. One person suffered moderate injuries and it took hours for crews to clean up the mess. I-10 East was reopened just after nine A-M, but traffic delays still exist.
