Ag Commissioner Mike Strain has announced that GB Sciences, which is LSU’s growing partner for medical marijuana in the state, has been approved to move into a larger facility, allowing for ramped up production. Seven new outpatient addictions treatment clinics have now opened in South Louisiana. In recent years, the opioid crisis has hit Louisiana hard. Lake Wellness Center spokesperson Amy Jones says what sets these new clinics apart is the ability to receive care in an outpatient setting.
