There is some college baseball to be played on this chilly Fat Tuesday. Louisiana Tech hosts Northwestern State. The game was moved up to four PM, because of the cold. ULM is down at Southeastern Louisiana and Nicholls hosts the Ragin Cajuns. UL-Lafayette is off to a 3-and-7 start.

The 9 ranked LSU baseball team hosts Holy Cross tomorrow after getting swept this past weekend in Texas. Coach Paul Mainieri says were some positives from the weekend. He says getting sophomore right-hander Ma’Khail Hilliard back on the mound for the first time this season, after experiencing shoulder soreness was a plus…

The 10th ranked LSU basketball team flew to Gainesville today where they’ll play the Florida Gators tomorrow night. There are two regular season games left and the Tigers are tied with Tennessee for first place. The Vols are in action tonight as they will host Mississippi State.

The Pelicans went 3-and-1 on their Mardi Gras road trip. Last night, New Orleans silenced Utah 115 to 112 as they rallied back from a 17 point deficit. Julius Randle and Jrue Holiday each scored 30 points. The same two teams will play again tomorrow night, but this time in New Orleans.
