National media are reporting anonymous sources inside the White House have indicated the President will ultimately sign the deal to prevent another partial government shutdown, but Louisana Senator John Kennedy says it’s not a done deal until the President has put pen to paper.

Calcasieu Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for a mother who left her newborn Tuesday night near a Lake Charles Hosptial. The infant was found in a grassy area abandoned near a parking lot and authorities believe the child was alone for approximately 15 minutes before being discovered. Police are asking for help locating the mother. However if she had utilized the Safe Haven Law and given the child to an employee at the hospital, no charges would be pending. LRN
