Senator John Kennedy says to avoid another government shutdown, he thinks President Trump will declare a national emergency if negotiations fail to provide adequate funding for additional physical wall at the southern border by the February 15th funding deadline. Kennedy says he doesn’t view it as a severe option, but it may not be a popular in Congress.

Presidential allies have stated declaring a national emergency would allow the president to use disaster relief and military construction funds to begin constructing a wall.

Music’s biggest night takes place this weekend as the 61st GRAMMY Awards takes place in Los Angeles.  Many Louisiana artists have been nominated throughout the years and this year is no different. Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser says the nominations are stacked with Bayou State talent.

2pm is the NBA trade deadline and time is running out for teams to pluck superstar Pelicans forward Anthony Davis out of New Orleans. If a trade fails to materialize, Locked on Pelicans host Jake Madison says the team will likely sit Davis for the rest of the year…
