LSU wrapped up National Signing Day with the fifth best recruiting class in the nation. Matt Doyle has the story.

Over 600 wrecks in construction zones on I-10 between Lafayette and Baton Rouge since the beginning of construction in May of 2017. DOTD spokesperson Rodney Mallett says a large share of the responsibility for the high frequency falls onto drivers who are speeding and/or driving distracted.

Biodegradable Mardi Gras beads are currently in the works following a grant received from the LSU board of supervisors last summer. LSU biologist Dr. Naohiro Kato says the beads are going to be produced using oils from algae, but they won’t be ready for his carnival season.

Kato says the eco-friendly beads are just like the normal ones, but the biggest hurdle they face is the production costs.
