Pelicans All-Star Anthony Davis has reportedly submitted a trade request. Davis has averaged 24 points and 11 rebounds a game on 52 percent shooting for his career in New Orleans, while playing a pivotal defensive role for the team.  Advocate Pelicans writer Scott Kushner says there’s plenty of blame to go around for the team’s inability to be more than just an 8th seed contender.

A stage judge orders one of the former LSU students who allegedly played a role in the suspected hazing death of Max Gruver in 2017 to hand over his cellphone’s passcode. Because requiring cell phone passwords is not settled law, Loyola University Law Professor Dane Ciolino says convicting Matthew Naquin on the back of evidence obtained from his device is likely to lead to a lengthy series of legal challenges that may not favor the prosecution.
