Louisiana has received a one-point-two million dollar federal grant to assist child victims of human trafficking. Governor John Bel Edwards says the money is needed, because a report released last February found 681 adults and juveniles identified as victims of human trafficking in 2017…

Multiple media outlets report a female Shreveport police officer was shot and killed before she started her shift last night. Over 50 police and sheriff units responded to the shooting that occurred just before 8:30 PM. Police have told the media a person has been detained for questioning.

On the other side of the Red River, two Bossier City women were fatally shot at an apartment complex. Authorities have booked 22-year-old Frederick Jackson of Shreveport on two counts of first degree murder.
