Junior Galette, and outside linebacker for the New Orleans Saints, was arrested this morning by the Kenner Police Department and charged with simple battery domestic violence. Police say Galette is accused of pushing a woman to the ground at his home. Galette says the woman is a dancer, while the victim claims she lives with him, handling the cooking and cleaning. Police say the woman has injuries that include blood coming from her ear and scratches on her face.

The Alexandria Police Department says a man is behind bars today for allegedly accidentally shooting another man. Lt. Brooks Fairbanks says 29-year-old Kendall Smith is charged with negligent homicide. He says they responded to a report of a shooting and located a 29-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound…:

Fairbanks says this is a horrible tragedy that is completely avoidable where a young member of the community lost his life due to friends or family members recklessly handling a gun.
