Four West Baton Rouge sheriff deputies are charged with malfeasance in office after an investigation into multiple inmate escapes. Major Dale Simoneaux says during their probe they learned one of their deputies, 23-year-old Taija Perry, had sex with an inmate at a motel. Simoneaux says 28-year-old James McClurg took bribe money to let this behavior happen…

A north Louisiana mom accused in the burning death of her son will stand trial on the first degree murder charge she faces in January of 2020. Hanna Nicole Barker of Natchitoches will be in prison until that time, serving a five-year sentence for violating her probation on 2016 drug charges.
