A federal judge in Mississippi has ruled that an abortion ban after 15 weeks is unconstitutional. That means a similar law passed in Louisiana this year will not go into effect anytime soon. Louisiana’s 15-week abortion ban only goes into effect if the federal court upholds the law in Mississippi. It’s unclear if the Mississippi governor will appeal the decision.
