With the Rams historic 54-51 win over the Chiefs on Monday night, Los Angeles keeps pace with New Orleans for the top seed in the NFC playoffs. The Saints still own the tie breaker, thanks to their head-to-head win over the Rams.

McNeese announces head football coach Lance Guidry will not return as head coach. Guidry compiled a 21-12 record in three seasons in Lake Charles. Athletic Director Bruce Hemphill says a national search for a new head coach begins immediately.

Nicholls Quarterback Chase Fourcade was named the Southland’s Player of the Year. Fourcade threw for 2,447 yards and 19 touchdowns to lead the Colonels to a conference co-championship.
