Employers looking to hire seasonal help may have to be more competitive in recruiting employees. This is a result of unemployment numbers being at a thirty year low. UNO Professor of Finance Mark Rosa says with the economy doing well, the growth in the Christmas season may be a bit more ambitious than it’s normal annual gains.

Severe weather throughout central and north Louisiana resulted in a tornado impacting Natchitoches Parish yesterday afternoon. While there are no reported injuries at this time, some in the area did lose their home. Nachitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Capt. Tony Moran says at this time, it appears that no polling places were impacted by the storm.
