Governor John Bel Edwards returns from Israel today after a week long economic development trip and he’ll make a trip to Washington Parish to survey storm damage. The National Weather Service says two twisters hit Washington Parish yesterday morning, two weaker tornadoes were confirmed in Lake Charles and there are still 4-thousand Cleco customers without power in the Alexandria area.

Louisiana has received an “F” grade from the March of Dimes after a report found that 13-percent of births in the Bayou State in 2017 were preterm. March of Dimes President Stacy Stewart says changes must happen on many levels to ensure healthier pregnancies…
