The Pelicans have a three-game losing streak after winning its first four games. New Orleans lost to Golden State 131-to-121 last night as the Warriors Stephen Curry hit seven three-pointers and finished 37. The Pels are at Portland tonight.

Saints defensive lineman Marcus Davenport will reportedly miss the next month of the season with a toe injury sustained in Sunday night’s win over Minnesota. But Davenport said he’s still weighing his medical options before a final determination is made on how much time he’ll miss.

The SWAC announces the conference’s football championship game will be played at the school with the highest ranking on December 1st at 3:30. The game was scheduled to be played at Legion Field in Birmingham. Commissioner Charles McClelland says they made this decision, because there’s the possibility UAB will host the Conference USA title game at Legion Field that day. With a month left in the season, Southern leads the SWAC’s western division with a 4-1 record, while Grambling is 3-2.

ULM has suspended women’s basketball coach Jeff Dow for one week without pay because of a human resources violations. The Warhawks open the season on Friday November 9th agaisnt S-M-U. An interim coach has not been made.
