Thousands are without power as a result of the storm system moving through Louisiana. There have been reports of tornadoes in Pineville and LaSalle and Washington Parishes. Schools are closed in LaSalle and Rapides Parishes because of power outages and road closures.

The American Psychological Association released a report showing members of Generation Z, people ages 15 to 21, have the worst mental health of any generation. Kevin Barnhart has the story.

The New Orleans City Council votes unanimously to start the process to levy a five-million dollar fine against Entergy, who according to an independent report used paid actors to lobby the council to approve a power plant in New Orleans East. Council woman Helena Moreno says Entergy has breached the public’s trust…

And Moreno adds rate payers should not be the ones who pay this fine. Entergy has 30 days to respond to the fine and there are also calls for a re-vote on the power plant.

LSU is encouraging fans looking for tickets to Saturday’s SEC Showdown between the Tigers and Crimson Tide to use the school’s official ticket reselling partner StubHub. LSU Ticket Manager Brian Broussard says that way if there’s a problem, they can find fix it…

Broussard advises against buying tickets outside of the stadium, especially from someone you don’t know. If the deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
