Senator Bill Cassidy has made a statement following the arrest of a Florida man who is suspected on sending out suspicious packages to various politicians and CNN.

Cassidy said there is no place in American politics for physical threats and violence.

Authorities identified the suspect as Cesar Sayoc junior, who has been taken into custody in connection with the mail-bomb scare.

The Saints have a chance at redemption on Sunday night when they visit the Minnesota Vikings.

Minnesota delivered a heart breaking loss to New Orleans in the playoffs last season scoring on a 61-yard touchdown pass on the final play of the game.

Quarterback Drew Brees says he’s moved on from that game but knows the Vikings still have a tough defense…

An infant is dead and the mother of the child is in jail. This comes after a call alerting authorities that a woman was passed out on top of a child. Kevin Barnhart has the story.

Strange behavior of a teacher at Buckeye elementary school led to an arrest. Shannon Beran, age 43 was arrested for possession of alcohol on public school property.

Captain Tommy Carnline, with the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s office says upon investigating the teacher’s classroom, they discovered a container of alcohol that had been partially consumed.

An assistant principal had noticed Beran’s unusual behavior at car pick up duty at the school.
