More than a year after the hazing death of Max Gruver, LSU frats are still seeing allegations of misconduct resulting in suspensions. LSU announced the school has placed the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity on suspension as a result of incidents that have occurred during Fall 2018. The announcement marks the second time this semester that LSU has placed a frat under investigation for possible violations.
LSU will wear special uniforms versus Mississippi State Saturday night that will commemorate the “Silent Season” of 1918, where the Tigers did not play football because of World War One. LSU equipment manager Greg Stringfellow says the jersey and pants will be white, the numbers are purple and no name on the back to honor the unknown members of the LSU community who died in World War One.

Stringfellow says the paint scheme of the color changing helmet has an iridescent effect between purple and gold, not only showcases the school colors but is a reference to the history of Mardi Gras.
A tip from the Sabine Parish Sherriff’s Office led to the arrest of a man in Waveland who had a warrant out for a murder he allegedly committed in Many. Sabine Parish Sherriff’s spokesperson Joe Dewil says they don’t have a murder for Williams’ murder, but they think he wasn’t living in Louisiana, but in Mississippi, at the time he committed the crime.
