A woman who says she was raped 20 years ago recognizes her alleged rapist at a wedding reception last June and now that man is behind bars.  38-year-old John Louis Davis of Baker has been charged with aggravated rape after the woman got his name and contacted authorities. Baton Rouge Police Sergeant Don Coppola says a DNA test and a photo lineup checked out.

Hammond is hosting its first airshow in 26 years tomorrow at the Regional Airport, with a packed lineup. Hammond Mayor Pete Panepinto says the world famous F22 will be putting on a show, but if you’re less about 400 million dollar fighters, and more into the classics…

The Smithsonian Institute will now be the new home for more than 100-thousand preserved crustaceans collected by UL Lafayette researchers over the past four decades. UL Lafayette Professor Darryl Felder says the collection is headed to a giant warehouse facility similar to the one at the end of Raiders of the Lost Arc, but instead of crates, they’re in pods.

The collection is likely the largest archive of gene sequence quality specimen of its kind.

LSU will wear special uniforms as they take on Mississippi State this weekend that will commemorate the “Silent Season” of 1918, where the Tigers did not play football because of World War One. LSU equipment manager says the timing seems right to conduct a tribute of this nature.
