Louisiana soybean farmers are facing a major issue as storage silos are full and they are having a difficult time finding places to store their harvested crop. Kevin Barnhart has the story.

President Donald Trump has nominated a Louisiana man to lead the U-S Marshal Service. Donald Washington, the former U-S Attorney for Louisiana’s Western District, now awaits confirmation from the U-S Senate. Washington is currently an attorney in Lafayette and a West Point grad.

Both registration and requesting an absentee ballot can be done online, in person or by mail. And the deadline to register for the November 6th election is October 9th in person or by mail, and the deadline to register online is October 16th.

Starting this month, the state department of environmental quality is raising the recycling fees for waste tires. It’s now $2.25 for each passenger-light truck tire, five dollars for each medium truck tire and 10-dollars for each off-road tire. D-E-Q Secretary Chuck Brown says the fees were increased to address the growing problem of waste tires being dumped in urban areas…

Brown says they are asking local governments to do their part and make sure all dumped tires get collected.
