Will Thomas see fewer passes his way now that Mark Ingram is back with the team after serving a four-game suspension. Ingram’s return will certainly take some of the load off of Alvin Kamara who has been on the receiving end of more hits. New Orleans hosts the Washington Redskins next Monday.

Elsewhere around the NFC South, safety Eric Reid is set to make his Carolina Panthers debut this Sunday. Reid has kneeled during the National Anthem in the past, but told reporters Monday he’s not sure how he will continue to raise awareness in the fight against social injustice at Sunday’s game against the Giants.

And the Bucs announce Jameis Winston will return as the starting quarterback when Tampa Bay comes back from its bye week.

In the Tigers win over Ole Miss, LSU held the top passing team in the SEC to just 178 passing yards. But Coach Ed Orgeron is still not entirely happy with the pass rush…

In the latest Stats F-C-S poll, McNeese State is ranked 9th, while Nicholls is ranked 12th. The Colonels are at Northwestern State this Saturday, while the Cowboys host Abilene Christian.

In the high school football polls, after beating Hahnville, Terrebonne is ranked 10th in the 5A poll and Ouachita Christian comes in at number 10 in One-A.
