After the first month of the NFL Season the Saints are 3-1 after beating the New York Giants 33-18 yesterday. The defense had its best performance of the season, allowing 299 yards, they sacked Eli Manning three times and forced two fumbles. New Orleans also got the run game going behind Alvin Kamara, who rushed for 134 yards and three second half touchdowns. Quarterback Drew Brees didn’t throw a touchdown, but did not throw an interception either…

At 3-1 the Saints are in sole possession of first place. Carolina was off, Tampa Bay was crushed by the Chicago Bears 48-10 and Atlanta fell to 1-3 with a 37-36 loss to the Bengals. New Orleans plays again a week from tonight against Washington. The Redskins were off this past weekend.

LSU Quarterback Joe Burrow led a balanced attack on Saturday as the 5th ranked Fighting Tigers defeated Ole Miss 45-16. Burrow was 18-of-25 with three touchdowns. He also rushed for a team-best 96 yards and another score. Burrow says the undefeated Tigers can still play at another level…
