LSU is mourning the death of basketball player Wayde Sims, who Baton Rouge police say was fatally shot near the Southern University campus. The shooting happened at around 12:25 this morning. Police are seeking clues. Video has surfaced that purportedly shows Sims in a street fight moments before the shooting. LSU Basketball Coach Will Wade says they are devastated and heartbroken.

The group, Louisiana Lawsuit Abuse Watch, says they’ve seen a 36-percent increase over a six-year period in filings claiming businesses are violating the Americans with Disabilities Act. Executive director Lana Venable says many of these cases are frivolous lawsuits…

Venable says some of the alleged violations include having a mirror in the bathroom an inch too high or even the paint being faded on a sign for a disabled parking space.
