Brees has completed 36 passes to Michael Thomas this season, which is an NFL record for most catches after three games.

On defense, the Saints need to find someone who can play corner opposite of Marshon Lattimore. PJ Williams started and struggled, which resulted in a struggling Ken Crawley returing to the field. Also, slot corner Patrick Robisnon suffered a high ankle sprain.

In LSU’s 38-21 win over Louisiana Tech, the Bulldogs actually produced more yards, 417 to 409. Tech QB J’Mar Smith threw for 330 yards. LSU Quarterback Joe Burrow was 16 of 28 for 191 yards. The running game was effective for most of the contest. Nick Brossette rushed for 78 yards and three touchdowns, while Clyde Edwards-Helaire had a career-high 136 yards and two touchdowns…

5th ranked LSU hosts Ole Miss this Saturday.

Nicholls State’s defense held 11th ranked Sam Houston State to just 53 yards rushing which helped the Colonels upset the Bearkats 27-7 on Saturday. Its Nicholls first win over a ranked opponent since 2008.
