Gordon has weakened to a tropical depression and continues to move inland over Mississippi. Kevin Barnhart says the National Weather Service expects the center of the storm will move over northeast Louisiana….

Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser, along with state tourism officials, chefs and local convention and visitor bureau leaders are in China for a 10-day trip where they will meet with Chinese officials and tour operators. Nungesser says China is the one of the largest tourist markets for the United States, so he’s hoping a personal trip will lead to more visitors to Louisiana.

LSU Health New Orleans has enrolled its first two patients for what they say is a revolutionary treatment for chronic knee pain. Associate Professor Vinod Dasa says the early results are promising, and it could be a big relief for thousands who suffer, but are not eligible for traditional knee replacements.

Dasa says through a minimal invasive surgery they are able to re-grow cartilage in the knee.

This week marks the 12th anniversary of the disappearance Clint Nelson. Nelson was last seen September 1, 2006 when he was walking out of a party in Bossier Parish. Lt. Bill Davis says investigators have combed through tips and continue to ask for the public’s help.

Nelson wore distinctive round seeing glasses with silver wire rims. He was six-foot-one and weighed 16 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
