Louisiana launches a new ad campaign that encourages out of state residents to feed their soul in the Bayou State. The campaign includes three commercials showing visitors tearing into po’boys, dancing to zydeco, catching bass, and more. Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser says it’s aimed at maintaining the state’s record breaking tourism numbers.

Nungesser says 47-million people visited Louisiana last year, which was nearly 500-thousand more than the year before.

New to Tiger Stadium this season, is an area called the “Chute.” It’s where fans can purchase and consume alcohol. Advocate Sports Columnist Scott Rabalais says it’s the first time LSU will all adult ticketholders to legally drink in Death Valley…

An Air Quality Action Day has been issued for today, which means the state department of environmental quality is encouraging residents to cut down on emissions. Kevin Barnhart has the story.
