A New Orleans educator is under arrest after allegedly sending pornographic images to students. New Orleans Police say 32-year-old Da’Mon Williams, a music teacher at Sophie B. Wright Charter School, is accused of sending explicit photos to four students. Williams faces two counts of prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and student and two counts of indecent behaviour with a juvenile. School officials say Williams has been suspended.
According to a new national survey, for the first time more teens are smoking e-cigarettes than tobacco cigarettes. The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has cited a Mississippi man for allegedly drowning a deer in the Mississippi River in Concordia Parish. Spokesman Adam Einck says 40-year-old David Hayes of Natchez, Mississippi, admitted to drowning the buck in the river on the Louisiana side.
