Authorities are seeking 24-year-old Keithen Banks for many alarming reasons including Burglary, Theft, and Vehicle Arson. Banks is a wanted man by several agencies in Jefferson Parish.

The public is being asked by the State Fire Marshal to help in locating the man. Spokesperson Ashley Rodrigue says anyone willing to commit a crime with fire is a dangerous person. Rodrigue also says anyone found to be helping Banks cover his tracks could be facing punishment as well.

Rodrigue says if you are concerned about retribution for contributing information that leads to an arrest, tips can be submitted anonymously.

The Advocate newspaper reports that alleged serial killer Ryan Sharpe was ruled incompetent to stand trial on Tuesday. He is accused of killing three men in 2017, shooting them because he was quote, “filling 5 tags” issued to him by the government. Sharpe also said that he had killed one deer that was worth two of the government issued tags but that had to use the three other tags on humans.

The Audubon zoo in New Orleans snagged two elephants from a zoo in Buffalo New York. after a year’s long search for good roommates for the existing elephants at the zoo paid off. The two Asian elephants, Jothi and Surapa will be shipped by road to the Audubon by the end of the year.

A man living in Benton who was arrested last week for growing marijuana is back behind bars after attacking an elderly man with a rake and his fists. Kevin Barnhart has the story.
