LSU’s quarterback situation is getting hairy as Noel Narcisse isn’t the only guy on his way out of town. Justin McMillan, who also went MIA at practice yesterday says he’s bailing on the Tigers too. It’s a big shakeup for the Purple and Gold who are down to two QBs in OSU transfer Joe Burrow, and sophomore Miles Brennan. Tiger Rag Associate Editor James Moran Compared to the speculation of McMillian hitting the road, Moran says of the departure of Narcisse is much more of a surprise.
Cut 8 (08) “…a little bit more.”
Tiger Rag Editor Cody Worsham says he’s got a theory as to who may pop up as the next in line if neither of the two ghosted QBs come back.
Cut 9 (13) “from Tennessee Tech.”
Head Coach Ed Orgeron will address the subject at a press conference tonight at 645 after practice wraps up, and it’s sure to be an interesting practice at that.
ESPN has announced that longtime sportscaster Sean McDonough will handle play by play duties for the LSU/MIAMI game September 2nd. Todd Blackledge will offer color analysis while Holly Rowe handles the sidelines. McDonough has been on Monday night football for the past two years.
Louisiana-Lafayette has released its 2018-2019 home men’s basketball schedule. The Ragin Cajuns will host Louisiana Tech along with the first visit in more than 30 years by Southern University. That game will be played December 1st. The game with the Jags will be the first one since 1996.
The G-Men look to solidify their starting roster before the season opener against the Ragin’ Cajuns and the most important position up for grabs is quarterback.
Jeremy Hickbottom is the likely starter for that game, but head coach Broderick Fobbs has indicated that the spot is open for someone to take control.
The Tigers have plenty of talent to help build a successful offense this year and Hickbottom said he welcomes the challenge.
Kickoff for the season opener in Lafayette is set for September 1 at 6:00 p.m.
