The Department of Defense has awarded LSU’s Stephenson Technologies Corporation with a 10-million dollar grant to help small businesses protect themselves against cyber attacks. S-T-C’s President Jeff Moulton says the ramped up security measures will mean lowered insurance costs for businesses….

A new Louisiana law makes it legal for good Samaritans to smash a vehicle’s window, if they see a child or pet in a locked car and no guardian can be found. Louisiana SPCA spokesperson Alicia Haefele says if you encounter this situation, be smart about it….

A Rouse’s grocery store clerk in Baton Rouge has received over 54-thousand dollars in donations as a result of a kind act. Jordan Taylor was putting up bottled orange juice in a cooler, when an autistic 17-year-old asked if he could help. The father of the autistic teenager made a video of it and the video has gone viral. A Go fund me account was set up to help Taylor go to college and donations are rolling in.
