State Police say a Louisiana Department of Public Safety officer is charged with sexual battery and malfeasance in office following a traffic stop in Zachary. Areas off the coasts of Elmer’s and Grand Terre islands have been opened to commercial fishermen for the first time since the 2010 oil spill. Dean of Dean Blanchard’s Seafood in Grand Isle says reopening these areas will be a big help for the industry going forward…:
