The six-month-old baby that police say was kidnapped from a trailer park in Natchitoches and then found in a burning barn will be buried today in Winnfield. Levi Cole Ellerbe died on Wednesday and an excact cause of death is unknown. Authorities are looking for two men who knocked on the door of the child’s home and sprayed his mom with mace.

A 66-year-old Caddo Parish man is under arrest after authorities discovered his wife on the couch, unresponsive, severely malnourished, and suffering from crippling injuries sustained from allegedly not moving in months. Sheriff’s Spokesperson Cindy Chadwick says when Johnny Essary let deputies into the house, they were shocked.
