US Senator John Kennedy is spearheading a push for a congressional endorsement of ICE, while immigrant advocates call for the agency’s abolition. Matt Doyle has the story.

The Louisiana Housing Corporation Board of Directors approved $6.1 million for LHC’s soft second mortgage assistance initiative, which is slated to launch August 2018 in select parishes. Executive Director of LHC, Keith Cunningham, says with the program being a home owner may be more affordable than you think.

Governor John Bel Edwards and Agriculture Commissioner Mike Strain are taking a trip out to the farm. They will be meeting with local sugarcane farmers July 19th to discuss tariffs among other issues.
Strain says they’re there to congratulate the farmers for their great work and to help understand what the state can do better to ensure another successful harvest…
